Economic indicators after Q3 ’22 aren’t characterized by optimism — massive layoffs across tech and startups, a real estate market chilling faster than the November air, and soaring interest rates as an attempt to stymie inflation. Based on prevailing headlines, the question of recession has devolved from “if” to “how,” as in “how bad is it going to be?”  

Large enterprises will survive, buoyed by cash reserves to ride out the storm. But if mid-market companies, and especially mid-market MSSPs, are to stay afloat today while preparing to thrive tomorrow, their small teams must find ways to become “leaner and meaner.”
